Action contre la Faim - Canada, part of the ACF International Network (ACF IN), is an international organization that works on eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection, and treatment of malnutrition, especially during and after emergency situations in areas affected by conflict, war and natural disasters.  Our focus is on three main areas: nutrition and health, food security and water and sanitation.
ACF - Canada supports the international network in terms of recruitment, training and fundraising. ACF -- Canada is looking for a Head of Base to manage and coordinate base and project activities.
Objectives:
- Logistic and administrative management of the base
- Preparing reports
- Implementing log and admin procedures according to ACF rules
- Implementing human resources rules of the organisation with the support
- Supervising the log/admin management of the base and the programs.
- Following budgets in line with ACF regulations
- Checking monthly logistics reports
- Checking accuracy of log documentation
- Participating in the training plan of the mission
- Program implementation
- To work on capacity building to local NGO partners
- Monitoring activities, results and objectives achieved by the projects
- Recruiting and training project team and log & admin team with the support of Administrator Coordinator.
- Represent the organization by maintaining regular contact with authorities and local partners
- Positioning and strategy planning
- Defining and implementing the Security Plan, under the supervision and coordination with the HoM
Profile
- Humanitarian/development experience essential
- Strong management skills
- Experience in a rural community development programme
- Experience in the implementation of productive projects in rural contexts desirable.
- A high degree of maturity, flexibility and responsibility
- Financial management experience.
- NGO safety and security management
- Experience in base and people management
- Communication and coordination skills.
- Skills in Project Cycle Management, Logical Framework and strategic planning
